The best return message connects to the experience the guest actually had. Accurate results, a useful photo and a relevant next room are a stronger starting point than turning on every promotion.
- 1Test Send is a real sending action; use the Help gallery for read-only design review.
- 2Read the message’s purpose and when the workflow sends it.
- 3A configurable message has its own switch.
Handle photos with care
Review the Photos settings and your consent process. Tell guests how a photo will be used, check the intended audience and follow your venue’s policy for children and guardians. A private guest photo is not automatically permission to use it in public marketing.
Use the supported photo and sharing workflow. Verify the team and session before uploading or sending. Keep private photo links out of public Help screenshots. The room-screen rehearsal uses sample content; it does not capture real guests or upload from their devices.
Offer the next useful step
After the recorded game, a configured follow-up may offer photos, reviews, another room or a return visit. Check that a suggested room is appropriate and available. A demonstration discount code in the gallery is fictional and grants no real offer.
If you enable post-game cross-sell, referrals, loyalty, achievements or memberships, read the corresponding setup and guest terms. These features serve different purposes: a loyalty balance is not necessarily the same as an achievement or a membership entitlement. Explain exactly what the guest receives and how to use it.
Gift cards and campaigns
Gift cards can make a future visit easy, but their product configuration, redemption rules and applicable obligations need review. Campaigns, birthday messages, winback and abandoned-checkout reminders should use the configured audience and preference controls. Do not add a booking contact to every marketing audience simply because they bought a ticket.
Check the actual timing and enablement in your account. The existence of an email template does not mean a recurring automation is running. Review a template in the gallery before enabling a related communication.
Measure what happened
Look at relevant booking, campaign and email analytics with a consistent date range. Delivery, opening, clicking and booking are different outcomes; a delivered message is not proof of a return visit. Compare results without exposing individual guest data to staff who do not need it.
Start with one clear improvement, such as more accurate arrival instructions or a relevant second-room recommendation. Ask IOX to configure the software remotely and give your team a brief explanation of what changed.
