Start with the workflows you can explain to your staff. An available feature is not a requirement to use it, and a feature switch does not complete all of its setup.

Find the right settings

The main Settings area separates Account, Business, Billing, Tax & Fees, Team, Features and Notifications. Other tasks have dedicated pages, including Branding, Widget, Scheduling, Domain, Terminal, Communications, Photos and Deposits. Use the setting that controls the behavior you intend to change; a logo edit should not require changing a booking policy.

  1. 1Features is a separate settings tab.
  2. 2Read the feature description before changing its switch.

Begin with the active venue name. Confirm business details, timezone, staff access, payment connection and the guest-facing branding. Review notification recipients so operational messages reach the people doing the work.

Choose optional guest features

Depending on your account and saved settings, Features can govern reviews, waitlist, referrals, memberships, gift cards, leaderboard, achievements, loyalty, photos, packages and merchandise. Website options include CMS pages, a blog and custom pages. Operational options include staff scheduling, station mode, forms, webhooks and the AI chatbot.

The defaults differ by feature, and your stored configuration or available plan features may alter what appears. Check the actual switch and any feature-specific setup. Turning on a gift card feature is not the same as setting its products and policies; enabling a chatbot does not verify every answer about your room.

Make one change and check both sides

  1. Read the setting’s description and decide who needs to know about it.
  2. Save the intended value with an owner or admin account where required.
  3. Open the related dashboard area and the guest view.
  4. Check a representative phone journey and the staff handover.
  5. Record the change in your operating notes, especially if it affects payment, availability or messages.

If a control disappears, check role permissions and the feature switch before assuming a software failure.

Beta and experimental features

Treat any Beta, Preview or experimental label in the product as a cue to trial the workflow with staff first and keep an operational fallback. This guide does not relabel established features as beta or promise an experimental integration will replace physical room equipment. The public room demo is a rehearsal with local sample behavior, not evidence that a feature has been activated on your account.

IOX can review these choices and configure them remotely. Describe the outcome you want in the request below.
